Head Coach Joey Martin

Joey Martin was the Head Basketball Coach at Big Spring High School for the 2006-2007 season and the previous eight years at T.K. Gorman High School.

He has had nine winning seasons with an overall record of 219 wins and 75 losses. He has had four state final four appearances and six district championships. He has earned Coach of the
Year honors seven times.

Prior to T.K. Gorman Coach Martin was the Associate Head Coach at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, TX. where his coaching responsibilities also included weight training and conditioning, recruiting student athletes, skill development, scheduling, and tutoring.

Coach Martin is a proven winner with a history of building programs. He has lots of great ideas and a compassion for the game and the student-athletes he coaches. We are very excited to have Coach Martin at Klein Oak!

Message from Head Coach Joey Martin:

My wife, Tami Martin, and I are very excited about the opportunity to work at Klein Oak HS. We have four children that are very excited also. Our oldest daughter Taylor is 12 and will be in the 7th grade, our "boy girl twins" Samuel and Savanna are 7 and will be in the 2nd grade. Our newest addition, Houston, is 4 months. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not that we named our last child "Houston," even though we call him "Hoot".
